Janet was born in York, Pennsylvania, on December 30, 1944, to Earl and Doretta Dubbs. She is preceded by her parents in death and is survived by her husband Phillip Brooks, her brother Don, sister Pearl, and children David (Rashelle) Black, Shawn Black, Matthew (Kim) Black, Christopher (Aimee) Black, Linda (Patrick) Billingsly, Joe Brooks, 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She lived a life of faith and service and was known by many to have a heart of gold. Those who knew her, knew how much she loved the Lord and loved to serve others. She performed countless acts of service and also loved working on genealogy and family history.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2022, from 5 - 6 p.m. and a celebration of her life following the viewing at 6:30 p.m.
