James R. Lucas, 85, of Sarasota, FL passed away on 3-21-2024. He was born in Malvern, Ohio, and moved to Sarasota with his wife and children in 1970. Jim was a construction contractor. He owned his own construction business and worked for several construction companies in Sarasota. Jim was a member of Colonial Oaks Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Lucas in 2004. He is survived by 3 sons Michael and Todd, both of Sarasota and Robert of Franklin, N.C; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a sister Barbara Myers of Bradenton, FL; and a brother Leslie Lucas of N. Ft Myers, FL.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 4, 2024, in Sarasota. Internment at Liberty Cemetery in Stark County, Ohio.
