Henry was born to Henry Courtland Hicks, Sr. & Laura Marie Hill on January 4, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio.
He graduated from Chamberland High School, and went on to work as a boat captain, business owner, maintenance director, and in masonry. He was funny, likable Jack-of-all-trades who was into watersports like sailing, kayaking, boating, & fishing; and he enjoyed tinkering with bikes and motorcycles.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Hicks; and brother, Douglas Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Sheri Fendick Hicks; children, Scott (Shana ) Hicks, & Nicole (Gregory) Pennington; grandchildren, Morgan Hicks, Scarlett Pennington, & Kelcie Pennington; & brother, Richard Hicks.
