Henry Franklin Hall, “Frank”, “PaPa”, passed away May 24th 2022 at home from heart problems at the age of 84 years old. Frank was born in Indiana on June 5th 1937 to Henry Frederick Hall and Olive Elenor Resseguie. Growing up he lived in Holland Michigan with his family.
As a young man he learned to work hard and support himself. He bought his first car at 13 years old with the money he saved after working all summer. Frank served with honor in the Marines and was very proud of his service. He always wore a red Marines cap or had a Marines lapel pin on.
He was an entrepreneur and ran several businesses in his lifetime. He owned Sunnybrook in Michigan and after selling that he managed hotels including a Days Inn, where he received several awards, before partnering to buy and manage West Winds Village in Bradenton Florida to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren.
Frank loved golf and played several times a week. He even got three hole in one’s in his lifetime. Including one with his wife’s 3 wood! He was fascinated by the civil war and American history in general. He always made ONE bet on the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Olive; wife of 51 years Joyce E Hall; son Kenneth Volkers; and siblings, Orin Hall, Skip Hall, and Blanche LaCombe.
He is survived by his loving wife Carol Jean LeFebvre Hall; brother, Robert Hall; daughter, Pamela Volkers Quinn (James H Jr); Grandsons James Quinn (Monica), Matthew Quinn, and Abraham Quinn; and six Great-Grandchildren: Hannah Joyce, Elias Franklin, Aidan James, Kyler Carl, Bobbi Jean, and Gavin Henry.
