Hector Luis DeLaTorre, age 83, of Sarasota, passed peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017. He was born May 25, 1934 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro and Petra (Cancel) DeLaTorre. He was a hard worker and a devout Catholic, he attended services at St. Martha’s every Saturday; he’d leave his oxygen at home so he could attend services with ease.
He is preceded in death by his son, David; and his wife, Sara. He is survived by his son, Daniel (Stephanie) and many close friends he considered family.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honoree Ave., Sarasota, FL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 200 North Orange Avenue, Sarasota, Florida, on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm, with Father Patrick officiating.
