Mr. Galbraith was an alumni at Norwin Senior High School for the class of 1966. After graduating, he was involved with the Westinghouse Airbrake Foundry. Glenn also served for the United States Army under the 1st Cavalry Division, Air Mobile, Vietnam in 1966-1967, 2nd/5th Black Knights. As a result of his military ambitions, Glenn earned several accolades: the Certificate of Merit-Vietnam Service, and Honorary Air Assault Badge, the Army Rifle & Mortar Sharpshooter Badge, and the Pistol Marksman Badge. In addition, he was a part of the VFW Honor Guard and was a DAV member.
Mr. Galbraith lived in Irwin, PA for most of his life until ultimately retiring in Bradenton, FL for the last thirteen years. Glenn possessed a handful of hobbies: golfing, fishing, boating with friends, dancing, listening to oldies, and attending family events & holidays. His special traits included being strong willed, compassionate, kind, and family oriented.
Glenn was survived by his wife, Teresa Pagesh Galbraith; children, Glenn A (Donita) Galbraith, Brad (Kimberly) Galbraith, and Derek (Jenny) Galbraith; grandchildren, Madison & Andrew Galbraith, Carter & Avery Galbraith; and sister, Virginia (Ginger) Dubosky.
A visitation for Glenn will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. Followed by a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
