Geri Stanwood, age 83, died peacefully on May 14 in Sarasota, FL. She was born in Milwaukee, WI and was currently residing in Bay Village. She was the daughter of William and Stella Elchuk. After retiring as an RN, she found great pleasure in golf, travel, and volunteer work. Her volunteer work and the friendships she made at the Bay Village Down Under Shop were especially meaningful for her. She was predeceased by her husband Bert Stanwood and her longtime companion, Jerry Austin. She leaves behind her children, Kim Logan, Kris Logan and Todd Logan; her stepdaughter Thora Stanwood and her sister Carolyn Karolewicz. She was a wonderful grandmother to her 3 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Planned Parenthood, Sarasota Heath Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wed. May 20th at Bay Village.
