Dr. John saved my life! She was my psychiatrist for years in California before she moved to Florida. I am just a mess about this. I know how much she loved her family and I can't imagine the difficulty. 

Dr. John was always there for me, even on holidays and weekends. I went through a tough period of life and would not be here today if weren't for Dr. John.

I met Dr John when she was working in Tustin. I knew she moved but just researched her name looking to get in contact with her once gain. 
I cannot express the shock and sadness  I feel from finding this Obituary. She was such an inspirational women. She was all class and intelligence. The heavens are fortunate to have her back home. I feel sad our world has lost her but know the next is celebrating her homecoming.

We met Rishini when her family was living In Irvine. Rishini  was very loving and caring person. I remember her smiling face and I admire her strong faith.

We are so sorry for the loss of your dear wife, Elizabeth.  We are thankful to have met her in Ft Myers when you both we planning your move to Florida.  My memory of her was that she was such a friendly person who connected with people instantly!

I really don’t know where to start… as I am writing this I have tears rolling down my eyes. I never expected that I will be writing this tribute for you Elizabeth. 
I have lost my best friend and my sister.

Elizabeth Aunty has made a lasting impact on my life, and my family’s life. I am eternally grateful to have known her. I have had a difficult time finding the right words to say, as she has been an inspiration to me in so many ways. My mother and Elizabeth have been friends since an early age, a friendship that has grown through many years of laughter and love. I still have on my phone a video of the two of them kayaking during one Florida trip, both giggling with happiness, living life to the fullest. She and my mother were as close as sisters, and I am so thankful for their bond. Whenever I visited her and Bijoy Uncle in Florida, I remember distinctly the new recipes she would excitedly make for us, showing us love through her delicious food. Her care for others, and her loving smile brought so much joy to me and my family, and I am inspired by her kindness every day. I am saddened by her passing, and that I could not spend more time with her. However, I am thankful for the time I did have with her, and the years of friendship and love she shared with my mother, and with my family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Elizabeth Aunty my entire life as my mother and her are the best of friends. Whether it was trips with both of our families, or just a weekend visiting each other, she has watched me and my brother grow up. The thing I will always remember the most about those trips is the way my mother would laugh. My mother has an infectious, very distinct laugh, but there was a special laugh, one filled with extra joy and happiness when she spent time with Elizabeth Aunty. It was a laugh that had years of friendship in every moment, and spoke of an unbreakable bond between two people who knew each other so well. Most of the time I would hear a story about the two of them, Mum couldn't make it through the story without that laugh bubbling up. Elizabeth Aunty has always been there for me and my family, and it's obvious to me that her relationship with my mother has very much shaped who my mother is, and thus who I am. She will always hold a special place in my heart for her kindness, for that laugh, and for being the person my mother loved so very, very much.

Dear Elizabeth's Family,
My name is Venuka and I am a classmate of Elizabeth from Baldwin Girl's High School in Bangalore. Elizabeth was not only my classmate but my hostel mate too. However I lost touch with all my Bangalore friends from 1980-2019 - a good 39 years. But it was great fun to get back in touch with the girl's even if it meant it was through the magic of zoom. During the course of chatting with Elizabeth I discovered that she was a  foodie like me.She even sent me some recipes and we shared culinary titbits. I also reached out to her when her brother passed away in Wales. Life seemed to be so simple in Bangalore when we were worrying about French grammar and other tests. I was so looking forward to a reunion post pandemic with all the classmates on the East Coast. Moreover since I am based in Toronto, Rochester is only a hop, jump and a skip away!!! So many memories and plans but I guess you were wanted up in heaven. Strange are the workings of God and we mere mortals can only trust and leave everything in His hands. I am sure you fought a good fight to the end and ALL of us are so sad to see you go so soon.Rest in Absolute Peace and please watch over us!!! “I have a cousin, Roshini; you should try her strawberry shortcake soaked in Cointreau – it is really, really good!”. Everyone who has asked me in the past decade about my family in the US, has heard this response or some embellished variation; so now you too get to hear this.


Here’s how Roshini Chechi weaves her magic - she invites you over to her home for a “simple dinner, nothing fancy”, and talks nonstop about Rohit and Reeba’s fascination with all things Bollywood, her own dance lessons, and the best restaurants that serve appam and beef; while she glides around her kitchen and coordinates with Bijoy Achachan at the grill. Before you know it, that “simple dinner” is a feast with several courses; and you wonder if Chechi has more than a passing resemblance to the fairy godmother in Disney’s Cinderella. 


Phone calls from Chechi are never short; there’s always a rainbow in Chechi’s life she just has to share, no matter how cloudy her health is. Rohit , Reeba, Achachan, Alana and now Suhana too… she gossips about them all. There are sombre moments too, when she recounts memories of her mother and brother. Chechi has no delusions about her health, she is too good a doctor for that. However, there’s no way she is giving up the fight to be there with her family, to be there for her family.


Roshini Chechi, you had no reason to stay in touch with me and Merine all these years, and yet you did. Thank you. I guess there’s no more calls, no more WhatsApp messages, no more visits; but you are still here, in our hearts. 

I was lucky enough to work for Dr. John for ten years in California. She wasn’t sure about me because I was twenty years older than her. 
She was an amazing woman who worked hard, was a wonderful mother who loved her children and family more than anything , loved to shop and cook and gave fabulous parties. She was so kind and generous to everyone. What started as a job turned into a beautiful friendship even when she moved to Florida we talked often. 
I love you Dr. John snd will miss you forever. ♥️♥️

It is with tremendous sadness that we heard of Roshini ailing and then, with shock, of her passing.  


The years and miles have kept us apart, and we didn’t have the pleasure of meeting often but, through Juna and Reji, you have been part of our extended family. 


My memories of Roshini, hailing back from the days of their wedding, are of a woman with grace and style, beauty and accomplishment. 


I know that she will have blessed your lives with these qualities. 


And she was there, sending us flowers and support, for the losses in our lives as we were there for those that you, and she, had experienced.

It was my great privilege to know Elizabeth and to have been the recipient of her kindness and cooking! In Bible study together, we spoke often of the Lord and her love for Him.  Our loss indeed is Heaven's great gain. 
I am so sorry for the pain of your loss. Elizabeth was (and still is) extraordinary!


Roshiny is my first cousin’s daughter and we became very close after meeting in North America. We were lucky to  be able to visit each other in spite of the distance from Ontario, Canada to California and Florida. Roshiny was always there for me and we spoke to each other regularly. Her laughter and warmth lit up wherever she was. 

Roshiny’s  elaborate parties with tasty food beautifully presented was proof of her love for people and interest in cooking.  Roshiny was not only a terrific cook who enjoyed cooking and entertaining in style, but also encouraged her nieces and other family members by not only sharing her recipes, but was also in the process or planned to write a cookbook for them. 

Roshiny’s warmth and caring nature was just beyond one’s imagination. Every time we had any health issues, Roshiny was the first person I contacted, and she was always there for us with helpful suggestions and regularly checking up. 

Roshiny traveled all the way to Montreal and Mt. Tremblant, Quebec  to attend Ray’s and Leena ‘s weddings, in spite of her health issues. Roshiny was a big help as always.  I will miss you dear Roshiny, especially our long chats. 

I am still finding it difficult to accept dear Roshiny’s untimely departure, which has left a void in my life. May her soul Rest In Peace and may the Lord Almighty grant Bijoy, Rohit, Reeba and Alana the strength and peace of mind during this difficult time.



I had the pleasure of having , Elizabeth, in my workout class. From the moment she walked in my class her infectious personality was contagious .  I always referred to her as Dr. Spice because of color lipstick she wore. I loved having her in my class and so did the other clients .  The 9:30 class became like a family. We met for lunches, exchanged birthday gifts. 
To know Elizabeth was a gift. I am so saddened by her passing. I feel very honored that I had the pleasure of having Dr. Spice in my life.

How do you say goodbye to a friend who was taken from us so early? It does not seem right that we will not see Roshini again. We will miss our wonderful, lively friend- our warm, vivacious friend. We remember meeting Roshini for the first time in Buffalo when she and Bijoy, having recently been married, were having a party to celebrate. Until recently, we lived at opposite coasts  but our families have remained friends over the decades. Roshini was a loving soul who had a smile that was unforgettable. Her family was the centerpiece of her life and she lived life fully and with enthusiasm. She was gifted in her culinary skills and we had the fortunate to have had scrumptious meals at their home. 
An unforgettable memory of her is that of the joyous smile on her face and the happiness emanating from her eyes at Alex’s wedding that we were honored to attend in Orlando. 
May Roshini Rest In Peace and her beloved husband Bijoy, children Alex and Rebecca, daughter-in-law Alana, granddaughter Suhana, and all family members find comfort and peace in the precious memories and future generations be guided by the legacy of the beautiful soul that Roshini was.

This picture of Roshini which was taken a few months ago when I saw her in Rochester, NY., shows her beautiful smile as it always has been.  I am still in shock and disbelief that Roshini left us so soon!  I recall that about 37 years ago, when a bunch of us (myself along with my wife Cuckoo and my brother Bava) visited my cousin Bijoy at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, we met Roshini at a lunch event in the campus cafeteria for the first time. This, of course, was before she & Bijoy got married, but we could easily notice the sparkles of love in the air between the two!  She struck us as a very pleasant and well-mannered young lady with an engaging personality.  We were so happy that she & Bijoy found each other as life's partners. It is so sad that her life was cut short in this journey of their life together, but her memory will never fade away from any one who knew her.  Both Bijoy & Roshni were aspirations for some of our younger folks (including our children Justin & Sheryl) for choosing their health-care careers. We all will miss her dearly. May her soul rest in peace and may the Lord grant Bijoy, Rohit, Reeba and the rest of the family the strength and comfort to endure their pain.

I met Roshni first wn she was just a sweet little 12 yr old .. later wn I got married to her uncle the bonding turned stronger. I don’t remember the moment we met but when we shared our deep faith in Jesus we were friends forever. Our Roshini Aunty had a special place in our family and will live on in our memories especially in her favorite recipes shared with us. Praying God brings comfort during this difficult time to all the lives she touched seen and unseen. We loved her dearly and will miss her until we see her again in Heaven.

I’ve known Roshini since our childhood days. Our families were friends and I know the depth & strength of their faith in Jesus. We reconnected about 15 years ago,  and Roshini since became an encourager and prayer partner. Through her health struggles she always told me, “I’m ready to meet my Lord.” 
We upheld each other’s needs in prayer and I am so grateful to the Lord for our salvation and love in Christ. Though I am heartbroken that I won’t receive those texts and snippets of her life and family from her on this earth, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will meet my dear friend in our heavenly home. 
May the Lord enfold you all in His comfort and peace. Keeping you all in prayer. 

Roshini was my niece but we were nearly the same age . We met again after nearly 40 years, 3 years ago. She hosted us at their beautiful home and laid on the most amazing spread . We talked and talked like we had just seen each other recently . I wish we had had more time to continue the conversation . She was such a vibrant , warm person .

We had a great time together, during her stays in our house in the 80s, while she used to travel to Saudi Arabia along with her brothers. We used to make fun of each other, crack jokes, see movies and the most surprising was that she even recalled all these memories even after more than 30 years span; while we were communicating with each other. Praise God for the wonderful memories.

Roshini was a great support and inspiration, especially during the course of treatment for my son Ebbin. (As Roshini and Ebbin was taking the same medication). Her testimonies was inspirational.  

She sends the family photo during the Christmas Eve, with a long letter about her family. Still I have all those memories with me. My family will never forget her birthday, since Roshini ‘s and my birthday falls just couple of days apart. 
I will surely miss her, but will never forget that loving sister .

I was surprised when my good friend John Jacob from Bangalore said that he was on a flight to Tampa to see his sister. By evening I came to know of the sad demise . My heartfelt condolences to the family, specially to Bijoy and children in this time of grief. I pray to the Lord to comfort all the family members , to  give them the peace and courage in these difficult time.

I knew Roshni way back at school, and later my sister Beena got married to her cousin Roy. So that continued our relationship! Elizabeth was a very endearing person with soft, compassionate eyes, a captivating smile and a very warm heart. Anybody who met her could immediately feel her loving and caring nature surround them. It is sad to know of her passing on- a beautiful soul, a life well lived. May she have eternal rest in God's glory, and may the family stay ever comforted and blessed knowing that they were most fortunate to have this precious soul their own. God bless!

Our sweet Roshini Auntie is gone but her smile , laughter and grace remain with us at every moment . Roshini Auntie was our family and every time we saw her she made us laugh and smile with her jokes and she never stopped  showing her love to us with food or encouragement or her support , we will miss her forever . We pray for courage ,hope and faith for Bijoy, Reba , Rohith and Alana to guide them in this time and keep them moving forward . Roshini Auntie truly was a shining light and and her undying faith and growth  as a Christian remains an inspiration to all of us . Dr. John  was probably the closest  reflection of the Holy Spirit in a professional setting. Her kindness  and expertise changed my patient’s lives.  She helped me so much in my own life and I will cherish her thoughtfulness always. Our community will grieve the loss of this great woman who loved her children and husband passionately.

Roshini was a beautiful soul. I came to know that even more in the past few years.  Even though both our families knew each other for generations,  we only became closer recently.  She was more like a sister than a friend, and we even joked that we were. She was kind, giving, and loved her family and friends deeply.  She loved her Lord and tried her best to be close to Him. She struggled with her health but never wanted to miss out on being with her loved ones. She will always be our sister, loved and cherished in our memories.  May the uncreated, self existent and resurrected Lord grant her eternal peace and life.  Our deepest heartfelt condolences to all of the family members.

I can’t express how shocked & saddened I am  to hear about the untimely demise of Roshini aunty. 

I still remember the 1st time I met her , at their wedding in Kerala. I was still in school then. Both Bejoy uncle & Roshini aunty made a good pair; they visited us in Chennai & stayed at our home for a few days, before they left to the US. 

My mom was close to Roshini aunty, to the extent that she wanted my mom to be the God Mother of her 1st born child. I remember visiting them in B’lore for her son’s baptism. 

They visited us again as a family of 4 & stayed with us in Chennai several years ago .... that was the last time that I met her. 

I will always remember Roshini aunty for her grace & style, her smile & pleasing personality. 

Although God has chosen to take her away from our midst, she will always remain in our hearts. 

My sincere condolences to Bejoy uncle & the entire family. I pray that God gives them the strength during these trying times.
