Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, Ted lived in Maine and New Jersey before moving to Sarasota in 2000.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy serving for eight years. He was an active youth leader in YMCA Indian Guides, Webelos, and Boy Scouts where he earned The Order of the Arrow. Ted served as a Deacon for many years with his church. He retired from PSEG after 33 years at which time he moved to Florida and began playing the guitar, and writing poetry and songs. Two of his poems were published in the spring 2011 Peppertree Magazine. He was a member of the Church of the Palms.
Ed leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Patty; sons, Mark and wife Cindy of Greensboro, N.C., and Todd of Fellsmere, Fla.; sisters, Margurite and Anne both of Maine.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at Church of the Palms, Sarasota with Navy honors.
