On June 14, 2017, Earl M. Bloom, Jr. suddenly passed into eternal life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edna Bloom and sisters Bea, Yvonne and Marian. Earl leaves behind many that loved him dearly including his wife, Phyllis (Casey) of FL; daughters, Cindy Josbena-Richardson (David) of NY and their children, Isaac, Nathan, Angela and Evie (Megan) and Tracy Bicking (Brook) of VT and their children, Joshua and Emma. He also leaves behind four stepchildren. David Casey of NM and his children, Matthew and Joshua, Daniel Casey of FL and his son Daniel, Jr., Lori Demkovich (Joseph) of MD and their children, Joe and Samantha, Tim Casey of NY and his children TJ, Lucas and Mya.
Earl had many accomplishments in his lifetime, including serving his country in the US Army in top secret projects through the NSA, many patents through his 36 year career in IBM, induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame at WPI and his MAPS stock system.
To many he will always be remembered as a staunch conservative that loved his family and country deeply. How coincidental it was that he passed on Flag Day!
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 9 until 11 AM at the Meadows Country Club, 3101 Longmeadow, Sarasota, FL 34235.
Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers in memory of Earl to the WPI Fund, Class of '55 - Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 100 Institute Road, Worcester, Massachusetts 01609.
