Dorothy was born in Canton, Ohio, and made Sarasota her home in 1972. Dorothy was a legal Secretary for the Sarasota County School Board where she retired from, and, an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she also helped out at the Clothes Closet there on a weekly basis.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Jeffrey McGuyrt (Nichole L. McGuyrt) of Sarasota, her daughter Dawn McGuyrt Gibson of Somerdale, Ohio, and 2 brothers, Jerry Wendell of Bradenton, Florida and Danny (Sue) Wendell of Sarasota, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband William Kasparek Jr.and her parents Clifford C. & Elsie L. (Smith) Wendell. She also leaves behind her precious companion, Callie, and her beloved church family and Friendship Baptist Church.
