She was born on August 21, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Angela Sylvester.
Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Frank Calia and husband, John Calia.
Survivors include her daughter, Carmella Pizzy (Robin); son, John Calia (Kathy); brother, Phillip Sylvester; sister, Ann Mele; daughter-in-law, Carol Meredith; 6 grandchildren, Anne Marie, Frank, John, Joseph, John and Samantha; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 8 at 12pm with visitation from 10am-12pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, Sarasota.
Interment will follow at Sarasota Memorial Park. Dorothy will be deeply missed and forever missed.
