I've put off doing this because it would make this seem more real. Diane was the best big sister anyone could ever hope to have, and I am so glad I got to have her as mine. I wanted to be just like her...so pretty, so funny, so loving. But I could never be just like her, because she was also so uniquely Diane! ❤️ I still cannot believe she is gone. At least now she is reunited with Blaine and they are dancing on the clouds. As much as my heart is breaking, it also goes out to Jennifer, Casey, Kelly, & Cale. We are all devastated, but I know it is even harder for you.  Much love to all of you, and to all those who loved and miss your Mom.

So sorry to hear this. Diane was such a sweet and considerate classmate at Riverview. Quick to smile and laugh she will be missed by all our lives she touched. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Diane was a colleague.  Her kind, professional, helpfulness will be greatly missed.  May she rest in peace.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.  

Diane and I were on the same team at Realogy (Coldwell Banker). She was a lovely person who would always go above and beyond to help a colleague. When Covid-19 hit and we were all sent home, it was Diane who continued to make the trek to the office every day taking on many responsibilities so the rest of the team wouldn't have to. Diane will always be in our hearts and I am glad to have  known her.  

My cubicle was next to Diane's.  We talked everyday about our lives.  what her kids & grandkids we're doing.  She cherished her family.  She will be missed by everyone at Coldwell Banker. May she rest in  peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Mother, Mimi, sister,  aunt. I remember Diane vividly as well as Pam and Monica. We lived 2 doors down from them in Phillipi Garden. The Roate girls caused quit a stir in my house as my brother Greg had the biggest crush on Pam and would be known to sneak out the back door in the afternoon when Doug would get home from work. Your mom 
Pat was a typical Gardens mom. Ya'll were thick as thieves running with the Abbeys and Jensen's.  Hopefully your memories of your sister will help you through this difficult time. 

Diane, I remember the first time I saw you at work, and asked if you had a sister named Pam.  Told you how I remembered "the Roate girls" from school and how pretty and popular all of you were.  You said something like, well, I don't know about that, truly humble.  I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to know you, all of our conversations, your trips to the keys with Pam,  the pictures, love and pride you had of your children and grandchildren.  Your kindness, true generosity and heart.  You truly were one of a kind Diane.  Your loss was too sudden and far too soon.  You will forever be missed, remembered and loved.   Fly high ~ ~ ~ until we meet again 

Diane was a beautiful woman, but what always impressed me more than her beauty, was her intellect.  She was keenly intelligent on any number of subjects.  In fact, she kicked my ass at Trivial Pursuit almost every time we played.

On a more serious note, one does not need to look far to know that she was a wonderful and caring mother.  Her children, Casey & Kelly, are cut from that very same cloth.  Like her, they are also beautiful and highly intelligent.  They are also kind, generous, loving, and amazing mothers in their own right.  And while I have only met their brother Cale a few times, he is an outstanding young man that is loved dearly by his sisters.   These wonderful children are a blessing to our family, to this world, and are a lasting legacy that Diane has left for all of us to cherish.

There is definitely a hole in the world today.  I pray that the positive memories we all have of Diane will constantly remind us that her spirit lives on in those that she touched and loved.

I met Diane when I moved to Phillippi Gardens right before the start of Junior High.  We rode the same bus and ran the neighborhood together. We were classmates through High School Graduation and have kept up on Facebook in recent years.  I was so sorry to hear of her passing and extend my thoughts to her family.

Although I didn’t work directly with Diane a lot at Coldwell Banker, the few times we connected she was always very nice and friendly.  She shared her thoughts and feelings openly and had a real zest for life.  She will be missed by our department and I pray peace and comfort for her family members.
