I will forever remember Dave and his “Peace Pineapple”. Kevin and Dave had a 10” plastic pineapple ‘liberated’ from a decorative fruit bowl. When they would fight over something- the “peace pineapple” would magically appear on a table or in a chair as a token of forgiveness and love. Is was passed back and forth for years until it melted in the trunk of Kevin’s car. Christmas Eve they were still laughing about the shenanigans of the Peace Pineapple

Sorry to hear about David's passing.  In 1999, I had a job transfer from Michigan to Indianapolis, and then David, Kevin and I met and I started working for them.  We worked hard building IMC, and yet we had many laughs, golfed, and had occasional after work get-togethers.  He had an open, creative, visionary mind and stayed with a positive attitude even with business challenges.  A great guy.

My condolences to the Roberston family. I am so sorry to learn of David's passing.  I have fond memories of growing up in Carrollton Court riding bikes and goofing off with David and Kevin. It has been many years, but I will always remember David as easy going and quick to smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dave gave a lot to his friends and family; great friendship, love, and happiness.   A good man indeed, and will be missed by many.  RIP Dave.

Very saddened to hear of Dave's passing.   He was always a ton of fun.  Best times had when he lived out at Geist.  He was the nicest guy and liked to have a good time.  Can remember bringing my young kids over to go boating and swimming.  The man had so much charm and charisma.  He will be missed.

I send my deepest condolences, and prayers for comfort and peace, to the Robertson family and to all those who loved David. I’m heartbroken at the news of David’s passing. His quick smile, generous spirit, and fierce loyalty were the marks of a true friend. Our friendship began in the early days of high school and continued for almost two decades, until jobs and life took us in different directions. During those many years, David was the first to welcome me when I landed in Bloomington and Indy, introducing me to his friends, showing me around and including me in so many things. He forever endeared himself to me by making sure I felt comfortable in my new surroundings and steering me away from people and places he didn’t think were safe for me. Some of my favorite memories with David were in the aftermath of his waterskiing accident, when he had to hang out at home and recover. I visited him often and we did puzzles, played games and had those deep conversations that came from years of knowing each other. His intelligence and thoughtfulness were on full display as we each shared our hopes and dreams for the future. I’m hopeful that he fulfilled some of those dreams over the last several years, and that those hopes and dreams will live on through his family. Godspeed, David, you will be missed. Your smile and your infectious laugh will remain indelibly imprinted on my heart.

What a fun guy!  David was always one of the leaders of the fun.

Amongst many sports David enjoyed, offshore fishing with his buddies was one of his favorites.

Beginning in 1995 David and 5 of his tight buddies began an annual offshore fishing event in North Carolina which continued for years.

Offshore Tuna, wahoo and Mahi-mahi were the staple catch:)

In Cancun, David and us caught sailfish and white marlin along with the usual stomach fun.

It’s been about 14 years now since we all got together, much less fished.

David called me last Sunday.  
We spent some time catching up.

David then prioritized another offshore fishing trip.  David was ready and adamant about going offshore this 2021 year.

David’s original crew and then some are in for for  filling David’s fishing desire this spring

I am going to really miss David’s spirit and enthusiasm.

No words to say how sorry we were when we heard of David's passing.   So many memories of Christmas in Ft Lauderdale with Drew and David.  Almost 40 years,  and Drew and David are together again.   We are thinking of you with love and prayers. 

I was so stunned to hear of Dave’s passing. He was such a great guy and I have so many fun memories with him during and after our time at Harrison. His smile was like no other & his laugh was so infectious! I can still picture him in his black Trans Am like it was yesterday.  We would still catch up with each other every now & then over the years and I am really going to miss that.  I know Dave and Drew are together again & probably planning something for the rest of us someday and that makes me smile.  Heartfelt condolences go out to his family & loved ones. Dave-you will truly be missed.

First, my thoughts and prays are with the Robertson Family. 
I’ve known David for almost 40 years and we were brothers from the first day we met each other at IU. We did everything together and he was the Best Man at my wedding. So many memories. We would talk for hours about endless stories and Laugh so hard. Always different ones each time.  That’s how deep our friendship was. He was my Best Friend! I will always have a hole in my heart, but know he’s fishing, boating, watching sports, or toasting his friends and family in Heaven. 
I Love you Buddy and will miss you until we meet again in Heaven.

Dave: Charismatic, confident, intelligent, witty and charming. My best friend from 7th grade through high school -- my brother whenever we reconnected. I mourn your loss deeply, and will always love and remember you.

The news of Dave’s passing is shocking because he exudes confidence. Dave was a terrific student enrolled in the Indiana University Business School. He also used his creativity to get the group of fans laughing through the weekend whether the team won or lost. I recently shared a story about a plumbing problem we had in the rental house with Todd and Craig at my Uncle’s memorial service, who was our landlord, that resulted in a laughing audience. I haven’t seen Dave for many years but never will forget how intelligent, clever, and entertaining he regularly and freely shared with everyone in the conversation. It saddens us all that we can only live with the memories, hopefully with a smile.

My sincerest condolences to the Robertson family.  Fond memories of Dave from Plaza Park and Harrison.  I lift you all up in prayer.
