Dan was born in York, SC. He moved to Sarasota, FL in 1969. He graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design with a degree in interior design. He began his career as an Interior Designer at Wellington Hall, St. Petersburg followed by many years at Kane's Furniture of Sarasota. He later opened Robinson Spry Interiors in Sarasota.
Dan had a passion for entertaining where he could showcase his culinary skills. He was an avid reader with a wealth of knowledge. Most of all, he treasured his long friendship with David Strattard whom he considered to be his best friend and advocate.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Meek Robinson. Dan will be deeply missed by his mother, Audrey Robinson, sisters, Vickie McKinney, Becky Childers, Pat Johnson and Charlene Poole all of South Carolina.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at National Cremation and Burial Society, 2990 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, Fl.
