Christian started his journey in Northampton, Massachusetts where he loved visiting the farm across the street from our home, riding the train at Look Park and exploring the woods. When we moved to Venice, Florida in 2004, he excitedly joined the Cub Scouts Troop 77. A graduate of Venice High, Christian loved music festivals, muscle cars, the beach and watching movies. You could often find him sitting in his '68 Mustang or at his drawing table sketching plans on how he was going to modify it.
Christian loved nature and working outside. He built sea walls and docks while going to school for welding.
Survived by his mom, Alena Childers; stepmother, Jamie Hansen; fiancée, Kendra; son, Colton, step-son, Ryley; grandparents, Patricia and William Childers; sister and brother-in-law, Guinevere and Aaron Pal; nephews, Frankie and James; nieces, Evie and Ani; uncle, Eric; Aunt, Monica; cousins, Boston and Eli and many Great Aunts and Uncles, second Cousins and wonderful friends.
In Heaven he joins great-grandparents, Anne and John Fitzsimmons, Filomenia and William Sr. Childers; great-aunt, Joanie; great-uncle Bobby; and second cousins, Johnny and Joseph.
Christian had a big heart and a great love for animals. We ask that you do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in Christians honor.
His last gift on Earth was the gift of life as an organ donor. The dedicated and loving staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital ICU and Life Link of FL made Christians wishes come true by gifting 4 recipients a breath of life. Christian will forever be a true hero.
Until we meet again Christian, a day will not go by when we won't think of your beautiful contagious smile, your big brown eyes or listen for your laughter. Our forlorn hearts miss you deeply, but know you are resting in peace with Jesus.
