Ron Gatti, son of Elizabeth Gregoli and Charles Patrick Gatti (both deceased) was a graduate of Fairfield Prep school and University of Bridgeport. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, honorably discharged in 1955.
Ron spent over 50 years as a resident in Westport, CT before chasing the sun and sand to Sarasota, FL, where he has resided since 2005. Throughout his life, he was an avid participant in tennis, the YMCA and all things concerning fitness. He had a smile and a voice as big as his spirit.
Ron was a cherished husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy, daughter Lisa Gatti and grandson, Conor Gatti Dunn.
A funeral mass for Ron will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 425 S Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 34229. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service with honors at 12:30 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, State Road 70, Sarasota, FL 34241.
