I live in Scotland but have a holiday home in Sarasota. We had several photo shoots with Cat getting UK & USA family together. She was always our first choice. Her demeanour , her laughter, her knowledge of photography and what was right. We as a family loved her so much and  trusted her that we gave her the commission to photograph our daughters wedding last year in Sarasota. So devastated to hear of her passing and will always as a family relish the time we spent with her.

 Cat was my best friend in 8th grade… we literally spoke everyday for hours.  She always gave me the best advice (that I usually ignored…  cough, Shira, cough) and remained a trusted comrade during the Pine View high school years.  I have 100s of wonderful memories of her, with the best ones involving her house/class parties and heated picnic table lunch discussions.  The chicken pool wrestling matches (usually involving Tony and Katherine) were epic.  Lots of great times growing up in Sarasota.  She was always a source of joy and one of the sweetest humans I’ve ever known, with a beautiful mind. A couple of years ago, we debated the merits of palm trees versus oak trees, and I was quickly reminded that Cat had an incredible ability to see beauty in the world that most could not.  I was so sorry to hear she was taken (stolen) WAY too soon from the world.  

Cat was so sweet, so kind, always smiling and the most wonderful of neighbors.  Our hearts go out to Greg and family.  Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.  

It still seems surreal. 💔 Cat had the ability to walk into a room and make you feel loved and supported. The love that surrounded her as a result is obvious.  Sarasota loves Cat and always will.

She figured out lighting, timing, positioning etc so our ceremony would be perfect. She had zero obligation to stay that evening, but did because she cared. She went above and beyond her “photographer duties” and was simply, the best. Thank you Cat, Rest in peace 🤍

Cat was such a ray of sunshine! In addition to babysitting Cat and Will in the early 80's, I had the privilege of seeing her again last year and catching up for half an hour. I recall being so impressed with her warm smile and love of life.  It's easy to see that she touched many, many lives in such a positive and memorable way. 
To Martha, Allen and Will and Cat's husband: I'm so deeply sorry for your loss, and can only hope that all your good memories with her sustain you through this difficult time, and always.

We had the privilege of getting to know Cat as our wedding photographer. She was easily one of the most sweet and gentle souls we worked with and we will forever be grateful to her for immortalizing our special day with her photos.  Her creative spirit & contagious smile will never be forgotten. 

Such a beautiful soul, lost way too soon. Our trip to Las Vegas would not have been the same with out her. Not only is she beautiful to look at and photograph, but she brought so much joy and creativity to our journey at WPPI in 2015. I'll never forget it. I deeply regret not spending more time with Cat in the last few years.

Rufus. I felt like I already knew him when I finally got to meet him at the studio. He was such a good boy and I knew how loved he was. Like Cat and Greg my husband and I also have only four babies and know just how important they are. I absolutely cannot believe that Rufus has outlived his beautiful mother. It’s the most unfair and tragic turn in her beautiful story. 

Cat, Greg, and Rufus came through for holiday minis in December 2022. I remember being so happy to see her after such a crazy few years with Covid. She was flustered bc her boys had driven separate but thankfully they arrived safe and we had a fun session. OF COURSE Cat brought the style!

WPPI in Las Vegas in 2015. We had only known each other for a few years at the most through photographer and wedding industry networking. I remember being immediately drawn to her beautiful smile, sense of humor, and talent behind the lens. I’ll never forget this first visit to the biggest convention. We drove out to Red Rocks to try and make some cute shots of each other. Sophan Theam was also with us. We made it JUST in time for sunset. But it was freezing cold! As soon as we lost the light there were even flurries of snow! It was only March but we as Floridians were totally shocked. We had such a good time on that trip. Totally in our element, together.
