Mrs. MacDonald was an executive assistant prior to becoming an amazing stay at home wife and mother. She dedicated her life to supporting her husband in his career and raising her children. The MacDonalds resided in the Detroit suburbs and after retirement wintered in Sarasota and spent summers in Holland, MI.
Carol enjoyed family, gardening, her friends, art and reading. She was well known for her sweet gentle kindness to everyone and her strong faith in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving children, Heather (Dr. Tom) Arne of Sarasota, FL and Brian (Stephanie) MacDonald of Minneapolis, MN; and cherished grandchildren, Ian, Abbey, Stuart, Luke, Laura, Eric, Logan and Daniel.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Sarasota Campus of Bayside Community Church, 8200 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL 34241.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts would be sent to Focus on the Family, 8605 Explorer Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80920-1051, Attn: Faye Tharp.
