Born in Sarasota, Bobby was a graduate of sarasota High School. He was well known throughout Bradenton and Sarasota area, as well as the state as an avid bowler. Starting with the youth league locally, throughout his career in many adult leagues, and tournaments, he bowled multiple 300 games and a career high series of 862. In the local Championship tournament he was the scratch all events winner in 2002 and 2004. along with Brian Cabrera and brother, Kenneth, they hold the local association record of 791 for a 3 person team event bowled in 2001. He also enjoyed golfing and football.
He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and the bowling community.
He is survived by his father, Bruce of Bradenton; brothers, David of Southhaven, MS, Clinton (Sarah) of Parrish and Kenneth (Kim) of Sarasota; nephew, Ethan; nieces, Alayna, Alexis and Daisia; Grandparents, Gene and Faye Russell of Hamilton, Ohio; mother, Kimberlie Jacobson; Aunts, Debbie Cummins (Mike), Carolyn (Randy) Saunders, Cheryl Russell, Glenda (Butch) Sebastian, Rhonda (Mike) Ellison, Clelia Combs, all of which are from Ohio, Dois (Charles) Ball of Tennessee and Omeda (Albert) Stumn of Indiana; Uncles, Claude, Ralph (Linda), both of Florida and Douglas (Barbara) of Indiana.
Bobby Douglas Combs, born on May 18th, 1976 was reunited with his loving mother Patricia Mae (Russell) Combs on March 20th, 2010. He also joins his grandparents O.C. and Suzanne Combs along with Uncle Lowell Combs.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Thursday at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:00am Friday 26th, 2010, at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park.
