Anthony was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lily as well as his brother Leo and his sisters Columbina and Cecilia. He is survived by his children; James Moccia (Teri), Carmela Abajian (Paul), Sylvester Moccia (Brenda), grandchildren; Anthony and Matthew Abajian, Cecilia and Daniella Moccia, as well as great grandchildren; Chloe, Cadna, Cara and Coda Coburn.
Anthony was a hard worker and a family man. He was a veteran of the Italian Navy and also served in the Italian Merchant Marines as a mine sweeper. He later went on to become a construction contractor. In his spare time, he loved working in his garden, spending time with his family and watching Series A soccer from Italy. After his kids were grown, he and his beloved wife Lily traveled a bit around the country and even back to Italy.
The family will receive friends at Robert Toale & Sons at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 beginning at 9:00 am. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am with the interment to immediately follow the service.
