William Herbert Martin, Jr., age 91 years young, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 19, 2018. "Pop" as he was affectionately called, was born on April 29, 1926 in Castleberry, Alabama. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Later Pop began his civil service career and retired from Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA. Pop was known as a saint, who was a hard worker and always willing to help others in need. He faithfully served the Lord at Unity Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. Pop was a loving husband, father, grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Myra Martin, his granddaughter, Janie Willis, parents, Martha and William H. Martin, Sr., as well his siblings, Gilbert Martin, Mae Ewers, Reginald Martin, Myrtice Watson and Nellie Good. His memory will forever be treasured by his children, William D. Martin, Sr. (Peggy Jo) of Warner Robins, GA, William D. Martin, Jr. (Sandy) of Byron, GA, Valeria Squires (Auda) of Hawkinsville, GA and his granddaughter Denise Fallows (Frank) of New Jersey. He will also be missed by many great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
