William Louis Lawshe

William L. Lawshe, age 95 of Creola, Alabama was called home on August 30, 2022. “Bill” was born on August 23, 1927 in Whistler, Alabama to Louis and Helen Lawshe.

Bill was a former city councilman, deacon and Army veteran. His most valued accomplishments are as a devoted Christian and family man.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Virginia, daughter, Joyce P. Robinson, brother, Charles “Pete” Lawshe and grandson William L. Lawshe III. He is survived by his children, Phyllis Newton, James Lawshe (wife, Sara) and William (wife, Joyce) He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a loving church family at Creola First Baptist Church and beloved caregivers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Creola First Baptist from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the bus fund at Creola First Baptist Church.
