The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the service starts at noon. Private interment will be at the Alabama Veterans Cemetery, 34904 Alabama Highway 225, Spanish Fort, Al 36527. Due to very limited space at the Veterans Pavilion, the family asks that the graveside attendance be reserved for immediate family, close friends, police coworkers and Billy’s fellow veterans with whom he served.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the phone calls, text messages, personal visits and meals. For those who are moved to make donations in lieu of flowers, they ask that you consider Mission 22, a national community supporting active service members, Veterans, and their family members, through three areas of focus: Support & Treatment Programs addressing PTSD and suicide prevention, Social Impact initiatives raising awareness around issues active members face, and installation of large scale Veteran Memorials.
