Walter Ronald Pugh

Walter Ronald Pugh, 67, of Saraland entered into Heaven Friday, October 2, 2015 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Bro. Jim Haight will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland.

Mr. Pugh was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, an avid outdoorsman, and a faithful Christian. Mr. Pugh was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Earl and Mae Pugh and his first wife, Cindy Grigg Pugh.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Frye Pugh of Saraland, his son Kevin (Mandy) Pugh of Saraland, two step-children, Chris (Laura) Howard and Stephanie (Ben) Hoffner all of Mobile, two sisters, Sylvia (Joe) Thames of Chickasaw and Gloria (Mike) Pruett of Satsuma, two grandchildren, Elena Pugh and Emmy Claire Pugh, and five step-grandchildren, Andrew Watkins, Brice Hoffner, Reese Hoffner, Rush Howard, and Madeline Howard.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Pugh, Joe Thames, Alan Thames, Heath Thames, Chris Pruett, Bobby Janes, and Chris Howard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Harris, Danny Havard, Jimmy Brockett, Robert Norwood, Mike Hicks, Rodney Hicks, Jimmy Robison, Jerry Smith, Price Thomas, and Skip Thompson.
