Thomas Leonard McMichael

Thomas Leonard McMichael, age 78, resident of Chickasaw, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard G. and Mary L. McMichael. Mr. McMichael served his country honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Lexington and was a “Bay of Pigs” veteran. He was a retired engineer with the Orlando Fire Department and spent two years with the Mobile Fire Department. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He loved his family dearly and was a great dad and grandpa. Mr. McMichael is survived by his children; son, Rick McMichael, Winter Park, FL, Denise McMichael-Wiseman, Chickasaw, AL and grandson, Adam Bunker of Chickasaw. He also leaves behind his beloved Boston Terrier, Butch and his friend and caregiver, Douglas Bahnsen. A memorial visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m. Flowers will be welcomed.
