Shirley Gene Gardner

Shirley Gene Davis Gardner, 92, a longtime resident of Chickasaw, Alabama, passed from Earth to Glory, on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Shirley was born on February 23, 1932 to the late Strother Davis and Dollie Wilson Davis in Lower Peach Tree, AL.

Shirley loved to play card games, do crossword puzzles, and spend quality time with her family and friends. She was a longtime member of Fountain of Faith Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Al Moore.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband; Johnny P. Gardner Sr., her parents; Strother Davis and Dollie Wilson Davis, son; Johnny P. Gardner Jr., and five siblings.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter; Carol Anne McLeod, son; Gary Glenn Gardner(Tara),. Five grandchildren; H.H. "Tripp" Brannan (Dana), Robert G. Brannan(Kayla), Jessica James(Jody), Glenn Gardner, and Garrett Gardner, 14 great grandchildren, one great- great-grandchild, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Radney Funeral Home: 1200 Industrial Parkway in Saraland. Visitation will begin at 1pm and the service will begin at 2pm. Rev. Al Moore will be officiating the services. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland.
