Sarah Elizabeth Drain Freeman

Sarah Elizabeth Freeman, 89, of Satsuma, passed away at 9:12pm Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Springhill Residence in Mobile, AL. She was born September 17, 1926 to John and Mabel Drain in Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Hoover Freeman, two brothers, George Drain and John Drain, one sister Betty Wilson, sister-in-law Doris Drain, daughter-in-law Vicky Freeman, grandson BJ Reed and great grandson Chase Conner. She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Lynn) Freeman, Robert Freeman, two daughters, Jeanie (Ronnie) Reed, June Freeman and four grandchildren, Alicia Seals, Christopher Freeman, Bridgette (Clint) Presnall, Amy Freeman and 7 great grandchildren and friends who loved her dearly. Ms. Freeman was a member of Satsuma First Baptist Church, sang in the choir and loved to take walks, read, write and spend time with her family. She will be remembered as being a loving and giving Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Grammie, Grandma 2 and devout Christian. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Springhill Residence and Covenant Hospice.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Radney Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside Funeral services will be Wednesday at Crestwood Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. in Gadsden, AL. Online condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
