Sandra Euline Wimmer

Sandra was the founder and executive director of SOMI House and was the 1997 recipient of the Hope Award from the State of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Merchant Jones and James Melburn Jones.

She is survived by one son, John Paul (Karen) Wimmer; one brother, Donald "Sonny" (Rita) Jones; two sisters, Nancy (Joe) Cook and Angela (Andy) Stewart; one granddaughter, Chelsea Schexnailder; 1 great-grandson, Noah Schexnailder; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2011 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
