Robert G. Savell

Mr. Robert G. Savell passed away on December 3, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert B. Savell and Pinkie Gill Savell. Mr. Savell was a graduate of Vigor High School. He retired from WALA-TV10 as an electronic technician after 25 years of service. He was also employed by several radio stations as an engineer. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Creola. Mr. Savell is survived by his wife of 47 years, Isabell Blight Savell and his four children, Paul (Doreen) Savell, Shelley Spencer (Roger Lucas), Craig (Sheila) Savell, Allison (David) Richardson, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two stepsons, Phillip and David Freeman, his three brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home Saraland on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerry Spencer, Brandon Richardson, David Richardson, Roger Lucas, Gordon Savell and Larry Savell.
