Robert Elmer Powell Jr.

Robert Elmer Powell, Jr.—a native of Louisiana and longtime resident of Saraland, Al., passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beatrice Powell, Sr. and his two brothers, Wayne and Herbert Powell. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jeana Powell, 3 children, Kenneth Powell, Perry (Dana) Powell, April (Clay) Greene, grandchildren, Kenny Powell, Robbie Powell, Angie Cochran, Sian Powell, Tiffany Parker, Brent Powell, Lance Dixon, Rebecca Greene, Amber & Stephen Milligan, Clay, Joey and Samantha Greene, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, along with other relatives and friends. Robert will be remembered for many things, his “second home” in Greensboro, Al. and his love of motorcycles but most importantly for his love of God and his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Funeral service will be held Saturday, the 15th at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
