Robbie Ray Bru is more alive today than he has ever been. He passed from this life to his heavenly home with Jesus on November 2, 2022, at the age of 39, surrounded by his family. Robbie was a hard-working provider, lovingly faithful family-man, and selfless friend.
Robbie was a faithful member of Redemption Church with whom he and his family joyfully worshipped and served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Robbie worked construction and was an electrician by trade. The past decade he has worked for Mississippi Power, for 6 years, and Chevron for 2 ½ years as an Instrumentation and Electrical Mechanic.
Robbie had a big heart to go along with his strong back, so his work was not limited to the plant. He found joy in selflessly devoting himself to serving others, taking care of his friends and family and spending time with them out on the water in his boat whenever it was possible.
Of all the commendable attributes of Robbie Ray Bru, perhaps the greatest would be his exceptional, loving devotion to his family. As a son, a brother, a husband and father, Robbie was nothing short of exemplary; and in his steadfast love of his wife and children he has left a legacy of Christlike faithfulness.
Robbie is survived by his wife of 19 years Lydia Bru, 3 beautiful daughters Paige, Claire, and Lyla Bru. His parents Michael and Jennifer Bru, Sister Windy Ferguson (Brian), brothers Michael Bru Jr (Jennifer), Zack Bru (Courtney), his grandmother, Helen Bru and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Robbie will be held Monday, November 7, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Redemption Church, 1251 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL 36571. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 10:00am at Redemption Church.
Interment will follow at the Bru Family Cemetery, Chunchula, AL
