Peggy Sheffield

Mrs. Peggy J. Sheffield, age 82, longtime resident of Saraland, AL, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Frank Sheffield, daughter, Wanda Joyce Hastings, parents, Jack and Betty McManus, four sisters; Evelyn Brazell, Daisy Gunter, Mildred “B” Stringfellow, Grace Phillips and brother, Harden McManus. Peggy was a talented musician who enjoyed sharing her love of music and God through her music. She and her brother often shared their talents with her church, Wilson Avenue Baptist Church and other venues. She recorded a CD. She was a stylish lady and loved to share the Word of God with anyone she met. She will be remembered by her family and friends as loving and devoted. Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Redmond (Brian), brother, Ivan “Sonny” McManus (Etta Mae). She is also survived by two grandchildren; Crystal Moser, Kimberly Tolbert, two great-grandchildren; Kenneth and Kourtney Moser, numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens.
