Nora Virginia Guy Rigsby

Nora Virginia Guy Rigsby – age 68, of Eight Mile, AL passed away on August 18, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. Nora was born and raised in Whistler, AL and has been a lifelong resident of Eight Mile, AL with the exception of 7 years she traveled to other states while her husband was serving in the Coast Guard. She was retired from the Mobile County Public School System with over 23 years as a paraprofessional working with handicapped students.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Christine Guy, and her husband of 41 years, David F. Rigsby, Sr. She is survived by her children, David F. Rigsby, Jr., Mildred C. Rigsby, Jennifer Rigsby Mosley (Mark) and her grandchildren, Jackson and Shelby Lawshee. Survivors also include her sister, JoAnn Guy Hodges (Jimmy); brother, James F. Guy, Jr. (Darlene); nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, August 21, 2015, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Interment will be in Gulfcrest Cemetery.
