Mildred Lee Herrington Ball born January 6, 1935 received her rewards & heavenly crown Wednesday, April 17th, 2019. Preceaded in death by oldest daughter Cindy Ball Key, parents Ross & Ethel Herrington, husband of 59 years, David Ball, son-n-law Edward Kleinow & great grandson Carter Lee Dixon.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Gena (Bobby) Irby, Nita (Glenn)Pilgrim, Jackie (Paul) Faulk, son-n-law David (Betsy) Key, daughter-n-law Cindy (Pete) Gilmore. Grandchildren: Christopher (Maggie) Key, Crystal (Dale) Dixon, Holly (Jason) Blount, Caitlin Irby, Stephen Key, Ashleigh Key, Hannah Faulk, Kevin Ranck & Owen Ranck. Great grands: Jakob, Landon, Elijah, Brennan, Braxton & Ike. Siblings, Sarah (Claude) Collier, Hugh (Trisha) Herrington, Lee (Marie) Herrington,Ted (Betty) Herrington & Don (Jackie) Herrington, many niece's and nephews & host of friends.
Mible Lee, as we all know her, retired from International Paper Company in 1990, as a telecommunications analyst, after 28 years of service. She was a Sunday school teacher of 7 year old primary boys & girls at FBCS for many years, where she has been a member for 56 years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at the Howard E. Blackwell lodge in Satsuma. Mible also known as Nan & GG, moved in with Jackie & Paul after David's death & then they moved to Baldwin Cty in 2013 where she resided until her homegoing. After retirement from public work, Mible & David lived part-time on their farm in Citronelle where they raised, as David said, “big chickens aka -Emu's & Ostriches. "
They enjoyed traveling to all 50 United States, and all the provinces of Canada & most of all being at "home" in Satsuma for 50 years, and enjoying all their family & many friends. Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 from the Chapel of Radney Funeral home in Saraland with Rev. Don Campbell & nephew Kenny Thigpen officiating. Family visitation is 11:00 A.M.~ 12:00 noon, public visitation is 12:00 noon ~ 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Internment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Celeste Road. Pallbearers are Mible 's nephews: Edward & Albert Herrington, Dino & Duncan Herrington, Jesse McLeod; son-n laws: Bobby Irby & Paul Faulk & grandson-n-law Jason Blount. In lieu of blooming flowers, due to medical allergies, a donation may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of choice.
