Michael David Jordan, Sr., age 53, a native of Charleston, South Carolina and a resident of Semmes, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long illness on Monday, December 31, 2018. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Christi Nicole Jordan; maternal grandparents, Claude Gardner and Mary Sullivan Gardner; paternal grandparents, Henry William Jordan, Sr. and Okie Hatley Jordan; beloved Uncle and Aunt, Woodrow Wilson Gardner and Marilyn Dennis Gardner; and sister-in-law, Angela Diane Mills. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Amanda Mills Jordan; sons, M. David Jordan, Jr. and Steven Edward Goff; daughter, Jennifer Jordan Terry (Jonathan); granddaughters, Jessica Lynne Terry and Jillian Grace Terry; grandson, Kaden Alexander Goff, loving parents, H. W. Jordan, Jr. and Betty Gardner Jordan and brother and sister, Curtis William Jordan and Lisa Jordan Tuberville (Vince); parents-in-law, Charles Ray Mills and Opal Haynes Mills; sister-in-law, Pamela Mills Creel (Ben); and nephews, Ben Creel (Ashley) and Andrew Creel. He is a graduate of C. F. Vigor High School, Class of 1984. He worked as a Meat Department Manager for Winn-Dixie for over 20 years. He was an active member of One Hope Mobile Baptist Church under Pastor Timothy Jensen, serving as Treasurer for the past two years. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He spent many years supporting the Spirit of Satsuma Marching Band, serving as Band Boosters President. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL on Saturday, January 5, 2019 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Valhalla Cemetery in Semmes, AL. A reception with refreshments will be held at Semmes Senior Center at 9635 Moffett Rd., Semmes, AL 36575, following the service.
