Mavis Finn Wood – age 87, born April 16, 1924, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2011. She was a native of Egypt, MS, and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis A. Wood, Sr. and brother, Dennis D. Finn. She is survived by one sister, Cleo Finn Kelly of Okolona, MS; six children, Ellis A. (Sharon) Wood, Jr., Dennis L. (Cynthia) Wood, Jane (MD) Price, III, Larry W. (Judy) Wood of Columbus, MS, Ronnie D. (Mimi) Wood of Starkville, MS, and Terry Paul (Dawn) Wood; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Crowne Health Care and Odyssey Health Care of Mobile for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, December 23, 2011 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
