Mary Elizabeth Wise

be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday July 23, 2020 at Springhill Medical

Center in Mobile, AL. Mary liked spending time reading, fishing, bird watching and watching

Alabama Football and The Atlanta Braves. She graduated from Murphy High School in 1956.

She retired from Regions Bank in 2006.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Max C. Wise; her parents, Willard E. and

Effie Lou Dees, her siblings Eugene Dees (Jean), Charles Dees (Carolyn), Leslie Roy Dees.

Survivors include her sister Carolyn Dees Kennard; her children Kathy Elizabeth Wise Jordan

(Scott), Mike Wise (Pam) and Mark Wise (Darlene); her grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth

Jordan, Christopher Jordan, Mary Courtney (Jason), Laura Reeves (Shane) and Mikki Hendry

(Bryan) and great grandchildren, Mary Cate Courtney, Kendall Courtney, Jack Courtney,

Maddie Elizabeth Reeves, Colin Reeves, Piper Hendry, and Norah Hendry. There are many

others whom she loved and knew her as their “Gigi”, Aunt Mary, and Aunt Elizabeth.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Springhill Manor staff for the care they gave

her over the last 5 months of her life.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 28, 2020 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery on Snow Road in Mobile. The family is planning on dressing casually and in Alabama or Braves themes/colors in honor of Mama/Gigi. We welcome everyone to join us. Roll Tide and go Braves!
