Mary Nell Butts

Mary Nell Butts, 86, of Saraland, AL passed away on December 21, 2023. She was born on October 31, 1937 in Repton, Al to Ernest and Etta Baggett. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Jeanette Godwin.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence Coy Butts; her daughter, Stephanie Butts Lowery (Ken); her son, Lawrence Terry Butts (Debbie); her three grandchildren, Justin Lowery (Martha Cary), Brandon Butts (Alex), and Jessica Lowery Lawrence (Michael); her six great- grandchildren, Reese, Jacob, Brigham, Leighton, Sophie, and Carter; her three brothers, Shelton Baggett (Kay), Frank Baggett (Bonnie) and Vernon Baggett (Hilda); her five sisters, Thelma Snow, Ginger McInnis, Judy Dean, Betty Eddins, and Lynda Capps (Cecil); also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Fountain of Life Church in Saraland, AL. She was a humble servant to her God, her family, her friends and her church.

The family is extremely grateful to Saad’s Hospice for the care and love she received.

She will be truly missed. She was known for her love and laughter. She was loved by all who knew her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Radney Funeral Home – Saraland on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 In the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
