Martha Juanita Tate

Martha Juanita “Nita” Lovelady Tate, 86 born October 15, 1937 in Ashland, AL. a resident of Anniston, Alabama and longtime resident of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Wednesday morning, December 27, 2023.

Mrs. Tate worked at Satsuma Christian School for many years and taught Sunday school at First Baptist Church Satsuma. In her later years she was a member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and was a talented seamstress.

Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her husband, James Louis Tate and two grandchildren, Brianne Nicole Lee and Joseph Andrew Tate.

She is survived by three children, Joel Tate (Lenore), Melody Woodard (Chuck), and Victor Tate (Julie); grandchildren, Shay Lee, Amanda Phillips (Andrew), Brad Tate (Mallory), Jessica Bryant (John), Danielle Tate, Matthew Tate and Michael Tate; 4 great-grandchildren, her beloved canine companion “Sadie” and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
