Funeral Services for Edna Marie Romine Ruck, 81 of Saraland, Alabama will be Thursday, January 4th, 2018, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland.

Mrs. Ruck passed away on Saturday, December 30th 2017, at a nursing home in Saraland where she has resided the last 3 years. She was born on March 8th, 1936, in Cullman County. She met and married the love of her life, James John Ruck, known to all as Jim. Marie and Jim, in addition to raising their 3 children, were also loving foster parents to over 100 children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a devout supporter of the Catholic Charities. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Chickasaw, Alabama.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and their oldest grandson, James John Ruck II.

She is survived by their children: 2 sons, Timothy James Ruck (Terri) and Richard David Ruck, Sr. (Debbie); daughter, Theresa Marie Ruck Russell; 7 grandchildren: Kimberly Susan Ruck, Richard David Ruck, Jr., Aimee Marie Steele, Lindsay Corrine Steele, William Phillip Ruck (Lynn), Christopher James Russell, and Tabitha Leigh Ewald (Daniel); 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sandra Green; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
