Margaret (Peggy) Lucille Johnston 70 of Foley, Alabama Passed away on March 27, 2024 after losing her battle to pulmonary fibrosis lung disease. Margaret (Peggy) Johnston was Born in Polson, Montana on December 5, 1953. Margaret (Peggy) Johnston is the daughter of the late Robert Lee Brannan Jr. from Citronelle AL and Merilyn (Polly) Hines from Silverhill, AL.
Margaret (Peggy) Johnston was preceded in death by her sister, Carralyn Parker Barnett, Brothers; Billy Brannan and Jerry Booth, Daughter; Kimberly Ann Johnston, Stepson; Michael R Wilkerson Jr., Great Grandsons; Grayson Johnston and Walker Johnston. Nephews; Lester Johnston, Channing Riordan and Rodney Cale and Niece Frandy Riordan.
She is survived by her spouse Randy Wilkerson of Foley, AL. daughter Tammy Johnston of Gulf Shores, AL.,son Bobby and wife Stephanie Johnston of Robertsdale AL. and grandchildren; Gary (Chelsea) Johnston of Foley AL., Brian (Cory) Johnston of Orange, Beach AL., DJ (Caitlin) Johnston of Foley, AL. Skyler (Chelsy) Johnston of Foley, AL, Misti Johnston of Mobile, AL. Great -grandchildren Jaden Johnston, Emma Johnston, Tatum Johnston and Summer Johnston of Foley, AL. stepsons; Shawn Wilkerson and JJ Wilkerson; brother; Robert Lee Brannan Jr. of Saint Ignatius Mt., sisters Amy Brannan Merritt of Citronelle, AL., Elizabeth ( Larry )Roberts of Citronelle AL., Virginia Booth Smith of Robertsdale AL.; nephews Vince Yancey, Chris Roberts, Sean Brannan, Robert Brannan III, Scott McDonald, Tommy Cottle, Jeffery Keffer, Lance Banks, Larry Banks, and David Johnston, Nieces; Patti Cooper, Tami Crockett, Lisa Wiles, Jennifer Cottle, France Cottle, Amy Cottle and Chantelle Cale and numerous great nieces and nephews also survive her.
Peggy and her children moved to Foley, AL. in June of 1989. She worked hard to provide for herself and her children. Peggy retired from the Kirkland’s restaurant in Gulf Shores, AL. as the kitchen manager. After retirement Peggy worked for National Boiler Service until her final retirement in 2019. She loved being the boss and keeping everyone in line. Peggy loved her family dearly and took every opportunity to have them gather at her house around her home cooked meals. Her daughter Tammy really loved her key lime pie (joke). She loved going camping, fishing on the boat and riding on the motorcycle with Randy. Peggy was a dedicated Alabama Football Fan and never wanted to miss a game. She was happiest around her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland, Alabama on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at New Home Baptist Church, 17324 Brannan Fork Rd., Citronelle, Alabama on Tuesday beginning at 12:00 noon. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
