Judy Clanton

Judy Waite Clanton – a 95 year-old native of St. Stephens, Alabama and longtime resident of Malcolm, Alabama passed away in Chatom, Alabama on Thursday, November 30, 2017. She was a retired civil servant and a member of Calvert United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Clanton was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Jo Lewis, and great-grandson, Ben Lewis. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Clanton; children, Judy Lewis (C.W.), Larry Simison, Penny Platt (Phil), Sherry Carney (Bobby), and Barbara Herrington (Ricky); 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great, great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer the staff of Washington County Nursing Home a heartfelt thanks for all of their care and support, especially JoAnn Jordan, Leslie Dunn, Jackie Giles, and Jessica Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Abba Shrine Transportation Fund for Crippled Children, 7701 Hitt Rd., Mobile, Alabama 36695.
