Juanita Edith McFarland

Mrs. Juanita Edith McFarland – Born December 28, 1925 and passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at a local hospital. She was a resident of Satsuma, Alabama for the past 71 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Satsuma. She retired from the Mobile Housing Board after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Satsuma Chapter #515 and was a past Worthy Matron of this chapter. Mrs. McFarland was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Curtis James; her parents, Ira and Ruby Cole; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Gene Cole; and one sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Lewis Platt. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Jim) Cayo and Sharon Lanier; three granddaughters, Adrienne (Chuck) Duckworth, Jennifer (David) Dunnam and Ashley (Brian) Saunders; seven great-grandchildren, Cole Sellers, Dalton Sellers, Evan Duckworth, Christian Duckworth, Kaleigh Saunders, Anna Saunders and Emily Grace Dunnam along with nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
