Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Alma Parden Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda (David) Waltman of Creola, and Rhonda (Jeremy) Pitts of Saraland; three grandchildren, Garrett Wheat, Ashley (Thomas) Todd, and Dylan Richards; a brother, Cecil (Kathy) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was clever, witty, and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experience in his job as a carpenter – he could build or fix anything.
He loved sports, especially baseball where his favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. Growing up he was a tremendous athlete himself and loved nothing more than being on a softball field. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors anytime he had the chance.
