Known to her family as Memaw, she retired from Scott Paper Company and was an active member of Toastmasters International for many years where she earned the title of "Distinguished Toastmaster" and held the office of Lieutenant Governor. She played a vital role in establishing many toastmasters groups in the Mobile area.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 57 years; Warren Oscar Weldy, her sister Phyllis, her brothers Floyd, Foster, Frances, Jimmie and David, as well as her beloved dog Buddy.
She is survived by her sister; Carol Stewart, her sons; Richard(Teresa) Weldy, Kenneth(Darla) Weldy and daughter DeeDee(Lee)Cammon. Grandchildren; Jennifer Holder, Richard Weldy, Heather Dennis, Megan Williamson, Audra Smith, Blaine Cammon, Baleigh Cammon and Brock Cammon, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We will always love you Memaw.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 11am until the 1pm funeral hour at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Graveside services will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens: 10000 Celeste Rd. Saraland, AL 36571.
