James William Smith was born on August 26, 1934 in Shawmut, Alabama and passed away on February 17, 2019 at his home in Mobile, Alabama. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was an honorably discharged Veteran of the Army, and retired from International Paper company. He is survived by his wife, Alice Summers Smith of Mobile, Alabama, his son Jeff Smith of Saraland, Alabama, his daughter Michel Seid (Joseph) of Spanish Fort, Alabama, 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Smith will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Rd. Saraland, Alabama, from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Eight Mile, Alabama.
