James L. "Jim" Phillips

James “Jim” Lamar Phillips – an 80 year-old resident of Satsuma, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Jim previously owned and operated Cut-N-Style Barber Shop in Chickasaw for many years. He was also formerly employed with Beck & Roy Marine and Scott Paper Company in Mount Vernon. Mr. Phillips was a member of First Baptist Church of Satsuma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and John Phillips, his brother, Johnny Phillips, two grandsons, Sean Alan Phillips and John Jansen Phillips, and his wife of 30 years, Joann Phillips. Mr. Phillips is survived by his children, Alan Phillips (Stacey) and Sheila Johnson (Terry); step-sons, Ken Rice and Michael Rice (Kathy); sister, Barbara (Wilbur) Price grandchildren, Dustin Lee (Misty), Sean Jansen Phillips, Zachary Phillips (Mykala), Delaney Johnson, and Lance Johnson; other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held in Creola Cemetery, James Burkett Lane, Creola, Alabama, on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 10 a.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
