Mr. Lindsay was a graduate of West Monroe High School in West Monroe, Louisiana. He Served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1970. He was trained as an electronics Technician. Larry was deployed on the USS Forrestal for 11 months and the USS Saratoga for 6 months. He went on to pursue a career in the Oil and Gas Industry and retired after 39 years.
As a father, he instilled a great work ethic in his 2 sons and taught them to be self-reliant and independent. He was devoted to his wife Patsy of 58 years.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Lindsay and Catherine Lindsay; his sisters, Dale Smith and Dianne Lindsay; and a brother, Floyd Lindsay.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Kelley Lindsey; his two sons, Colonel Retired Larry Todd (April) Lindsay of Bulverde, Texas and Jason Scott (Lari) Lindsay of Mobile, Alabama; grandchildren, Renae, Aaron and Amelia Lindsay. Also, survived by other relatives, family and friends.
A Graveside service will he held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at Satsuma Cemetery, Satsuma, Alabama.
