1SG James Franklin Graham, USA Ret. – loving husband, father, and grandfather, an 86 year-old native of Dalton, Georgia and longtime resident of Satsuma passed away at his home on Monday, May 15, 2017. A veteran of the Korean War, he retired from the United States Army as a First Sergeant after more than 20 years of service. Following his military career, he retired from Teledyne-Continental Motors. Mr. Graham also served as a Deputy Game Warden for the State of Alabama. He was a faithful member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God and was an avid outdoorsman.

Mr. Graham was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Jean Graham. He is survived by his children, James Walter Graham (Cynthia), Shiela Smith (Mike, dec.), Pamela Crosby (Daryl), and Denise Cables (Edward); sister, Wanda Gail Vaughn (Ken); grandchildren, Kassondra Smith, Sarah Horton (Curtis), Brittany Bowron (Ashley), Kirsten Loper (Adam), Chloe Crosby, Graham Crosby, Erich Cables, and Benjamin Cables; 5 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, May 18, from 5-8 p.m. Interment with full military honors will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Benjamin Cables, Graham Crosby, Edward Cables, Daryl Crosby, Tyler Waddill an Terry Waddill . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Missions Fund, 102 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571.
